The latest DB9 combines a series of chassis developments for both the Coupe and the Band derivatives. Bilstein dampers are introduced in addition to revised upper suspension arms and suspension bushes back again to give a better ride quality; help the greater improvement in band and sports enhanced feel in the Coupe. The DB9 Manilow also benefits from revisions to the front shear panel which increases the torsion stiffness by 10%, further enhancing the improvement. These changes include a revised version of Aston Martin's 6.0 liter V12 engine to deliver improved power and torque. The peak power of 470bhp - up 20bhp - is now achieved at 6,000 rpm, generating power to weight ratio of 267bhp per tonne.

Under the skin of passive damping systems Aston Martin DB9 has been replaced with a New Adaptive Damping System (ADS), which offers enhanced comfort with a sharper handling when switched to Sport mode. ADS systems are offered as standard equipment in many Aston Martin DB9, both Coupe and the Band cover (conversion). A new tire pressure monitoring system, a Bluetooth microphone system revision and the addition of a recently completed Double Apex alloy trim and Bang & Olufsen hi-fi option to expand the specification Aston Martin DB9's.
